Christmas Day is a federal holiday in the United States of America, according to this official calendar. Note well that it is not called “Winter Holiday” or “Tree Day” or any other secular term. It is called Christmas Day. So why are some stores opposed to using the word Christmas in their holiday displays or to wishing people a Merry Christmas?
Supposedly they don’t want to offend anyone. Okay, then, a clever lady named Ashley Tartar has come up with a solution. She has designed a button that says, “It’s OK. Wish me a Merry Christmas.” Here is a CBN article about this campaign, and here is the campaign’s website.
What do you think?

I think that we need to keep our traditions. What about offending Christians who wish it to be called Christmas still. Oh I always forget they don’t care about offending Christians.

Christmas is under severe attack in the UK, with many local authorities demanding it is called a Winter holiday. Even some children’s programmes on TV have stopped using Christmas.
The stupidity of it is, many of the people standing up for Christmas are the ethnic minorities we’re not supposed to be offending. They can’t believe we’ve allowed our culture to become so wishy-washy.

This is because Christians are the only group left that it is OK to persecute. Don’t you dare say a word about Kwanzaa being made up by a convict in prison, because you have a right to celebrate it. Yet, when I wish someone a “Merry Christmas”, why do they always look at me with suspect? I almost feel guilty that I didn’t say “Happy Holidays”…….almost.
