I’m trying to figure this out. Is the Reverend Jeremiah Wright purposely doing a huge service to John McCain and his candidacy? Or does he sincerely believe that somehow he is helping Obama? Is he stung by Obama’s denunciation of his anti-American preaching and now lashing out at his parishioner? I don’t get it.
Maybe he is secretly working for Hillary Clinton. Maybe he just wants to promote his book, and doesn’t care about any of the political candidates. What do you think?

I am of the opinion that at this point in time, that the Rev. Wright is blowing his own horn and enjoying the public attention.

I would say that Rev. Wright is very passionate about what he believes, and is indignant to see black liberation theology under assault from more main stream Christianity. While he would love to see Obama win the presidency, He is unwilling to get it at the expence of his theology.
RG’s Response: Yes, that’s possible.

I agree with Jay Burns. Wright said that Obama would do what he had to (as a politician) and that he would do what he had to (as a preacher of the gospel).
