I purposely avoided writing about the rumor concerning a video recording in which Michelle Obama uses a racial epithet. A writer at Daily Kos, FredFred, believes that he has debunked the rumor. There probably is no such recording.
May I suggest to fellow bloggers that we be careful not to perpetuate rumors but to write about what we know is true and then back it up with sources?

Good point. If only more people thought before they repeated something they heard. Many reputations have been ruined by “loose lips.”
RG: Thanks. I really appreicate the blogosphere and its contribution to our knowledge. I’ve learned more news–and learned it more quickly from blogs than from other sources. However, for blogs to be reputable, they have to be factual.

Let’s wait and see if is truth……………..
RG: With a rumor, especially one like this one, I would rather expose the reasons it doesn’t seem true. If FredFred at Daily Kos is right and Mr. Johnson is just trying to hurt Obama in order to get more votes for Clinton, then I would rather people know it.
